The founder of Holis Wellness Center, Evelina Bolognini, has been devoted to bodywork and holistic therapies since childhood. At the age of 8 she started walking on her father’s back to alleviate the stress from long hours at work as a physical therapist. Following in the footsteps of her father, Evelina has been studying a wide range of therapies in her native country, Italy as well as in USA and Costa Rica. Evelina moved to Costa Rica 16 years ago mainly because she found here, the perfect environment to develop her passion for therapeutic massage and holistic therapies. Holis Wellness Center is the result of over 20 years of passionate study, research and professional experience.

Massage Therapy

Total Body Awareness Massage

Holis Wellness Center believes that knowledge can be empowering… The more we understand our body and the mechanisms that cause injuries, the more committed we become to getting better. From this concept Holis Wellness Center has created an advanced form of massage therapy. Total Body Awareness is a combination of different techniques, such as Deep Tissue Massage, Osteopathy, Reflexology, Thai Massage, Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, and Acupressure Acupuncture. Your session will begin with a holistic check up. The information obtained will be used to create a totally customized massage therapy. During your session they will collect precious information about the mechanical, emotional and physiological aspect of your health, creating a more acute awareness of your being and an instant ease of movement and mind.

Holisynergie

Holis Wellness Center’s highly trained massage therapists will combine, specifically for you, different techniques such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Neuromuscular Technique, Energy Work and more.  Prior to each session, in order to better understand you and your individual needs, we will discuss your current physical and emotional state thus creating a custom fitted massage for your mind, body, and soul. Unplugged

A four handed massage, the ultimate anti-stress therapy.  Unplug your mind and loosen your body through the hands of two therapists working simultaneously.  A guaranteed altered state!

Traditional Thai Massage

Through the application of pressure on energy lines and points, and passive stretching movements performed with the hands, feet, knees, and elbow’s, your body experiences profound relaxation, increased flexibility and energy. **Performed on a futon on the floor** Undressing is not required.

Reflexology

The healing art of Reflexology can be a very effective tool to restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium. This is why they pay special attention to your hand and foot treatments.  To provide the HIGHEST HYGIENIC STANDARDS they use disposable instruments and toe separators.  For your comfort they provide disposable slippers.  To achieve the most professional result  Holis Wellness Center uses OPI NAIL POLISH. From basic to more indulgent treatments they are committed to deliver the best results.
